Dublin on the bus – September 2, 2012 – By Lancelot


We start the day with mass at St Teresa’s. After  mass we catch the “hop on hop off” bus, and take the yellow route to the Famine Memorial, and by many of the big corporate buildings.

 

Finishing the yellow route. we chance the red route and stop at the Dublin Zoo. (second most visited site in Dublin)

Dublin has a great zoo where the animals actually come out, and you see them through the glass…Amazing.  We saw all types of monkeys, and gorillas.  Everything from Sulawesi, Crested, Macaque,  Siamang, Gibbon, Bornean, Orangutan, Red Ruffed Lemur, Spider Monkey, and Western Lowland Gorilla.  We also went to see the African planes which is full of rhinos, giraffes, hippos, African lions, flamingos and other animals.

 

After exploring the zoo we took the bus back into the city.

When we arrive back in Dublin we walk around town and watch the street performers.
