A sunny morning started with plans to visit Capri Island. However, during our walk to the harbor the sky managed to cloud up. Instead of risking a down pour during our tour of Capri, we cut our losses by opting to get gelato for breakfast, and driving further up the Amalfi coast.
Gelateria Primavera became our breakfast destination. Gelateria is a gelato bar that makes fresh gelato every day. Their gelato and pastries are so good that the Pope can’t resist the treats :). Adorning the walls are photos of the Gelataris’ patrons, including the Pope, enjoying Gelato & pastries.
As we walked in, twix and kit kat gelato caught our eyes, along with all kinds of other flavors. Our favorite chocolate bars in gelato…:).
After enjoying the fabulous gelato we began driving down the Amalfi coast, and pulling over every few minutes to get pictures of the stunning coastline and Lance doing crazy things.
At one stop dad bought some overpriced fruit (after selecting the apricots Dad learned that a box cost’s 10 euro’s).
We could not resist playing with a cute litter of chihuahua puppies and tasting the famous granita (shaved ice lemonade), made with lemons the size of softballs.
We spent the rest of the day driving until we were fairly close to Sicily.
At night we found an Autogrill for a junk food feast.
