It had been five days since the transmission failed on the Renault, and it was time to drive into Rome and pick up the car.
Wrong…..We drove into the Renault dealership to see the entire front of the Renault torn apart. The Renault would probably not be ready to drive until Friday because special parts from France had not been delivered. That’s service for you…..not only does the transmission of a new Renault fail within the first month, but the lease company can’t fix it in time either!
We did not plan to remain in Rome till Friday. We love Rome, but we wanted to continue exploring Italy.
We took the replacement car and drove to the beach towns on the Adriatic Sea. We decided to relax, view near by the religious, and return to Rome on Friday.
It was a quick drive on the Autostrada to eastern Italy. But once arrived in the mountain towns it took longer to find the correct roads.
By evening we found ourselves in a beach town called Vieste. The sandy beaches and huge white cliffs sparkled in the light.
We decided to stay in Vieste and enjoy the beaches. Max and Julian wanted to stay so they could sample the popular nutella crepes!
