Arrival – May 2, 2012 – By Lancelot

We are at Charles De Gaul airport, in Paris France, after a nonstop flight on American Airlines.

We did not expect cold weather in Paris…In Texas the weather gets warm by February.  We got our luggage quickly and Max and Julian were glad to see Mickey and Woody.

We had trouble contacting Renault for the lease car because we could not figure out how to use the phone, “Bonjour?”   A kind Parisian homme, at the info desk, called Renault for us. Once we made our way to Renault, we got the leased car quickly and with no trouble.

The car is more high-tech than we expected.   It has an electronic key.  We love the car and will tell you more about it later….the steering wheel is on the correct side. 🙂

It was raining so we decided not to stay in the Paris area.  We drove toward the town of Beaune in the Burgundy region of France.  We found camping in the rural French village of Vincelottes (Yonne – Bourgogne – France) Les Ceriselles.  it was nice and had clean bathrooms with hot showers.  It also had a nice cafe and park. Next we explored the town and looked for a place to eat but nothing was open except for a pizza place…what can we say…Italian food in France.
